Within Global Claims, comprising all non-life claims operations globally, our department drives digitalization as a crucial element of our Global Claims Ambition 2025. As part of this mission, the Claims Operating Platform team delivers our future global integrated system landscape for all Global Reinsurance Claims units together with IT including our workflow & automation tools, our FSRI related SAP solutions and our Microsoft tools.

We are looking for a highly experienced colleague to assume the role of a Solution Manager & Product Owner acting as a driver for our loss systems and actively shaping the future global integrated system landscape within our Global Claims digital transformation team. You will have the opportunity to work together in teams with Product Owners, other process, workflow, automation & IT experts as well as claims business experts in order to play a key role in further enabling Claims on its path to become a data-driven digital function.

Your Job

  • Taking-over end-to-end responsibility for loss systems and tools for Claims Management and loss portfolio analysis as Product Owner for Global Claims
  • Management and business lead of key digital claims projects (agile IT or hybrid implementation projects) including sponsoring, planning and execution - in a way that ensures user adoption & positive measurable outcomes
  • Ensuring and coordinating effective change management support, key user involvement and needs analysis as well as daily user support and training material
  • Supporting the team’s projects and Product Owners in daily business, in process definition, system interfaces and workflow integration of the solutions and ensure consolidation of solutions in own responsibility
  • Active stakeholder management, especially with Claims operational units
  • Supporting the development of claims data and system landscape and digital solution strategy with the aim of long-term and need-based expansion and development of the loss data solutions
  • Maintenance and further development of a Canvas Power App with Sharepoint integration
  • Close collaboration with all other Global Claims product owners, software engineers, workflow consultants and data scientist, but also with other subsequent data and/or process dependent units (e.g. Reinsurance Accounting, Central Reserving, Reinsurance Controlling, IT, internal and external Audit), innovation teams, clients and divisions and the MR Claims functions (Munich Re in Munich and the International Organisation)
  • Actively shaping the future global integrated system landscape

Your Profile

  • Degree in a business and/or technical/information discipline or comparable qualification and several years of professional experience; ideally hands-on experience in tool implementations
  • Experienced Product Owner (ideally in an agile environment) with proven track record in generating and delivering business solutions and acting as successful change agent
  • Technical understanding and Power Apps development skills or willingness to build up these skills
  • Experience in transformation programs and process optimization is an advantage
  • Strong entrepreneurial personality and strong project management experience, with the ability to drive, track, and redirect activities according to priorities, risks and issues
  • Ideally knowledge of Claims, reinsurance and the corresponding tools like e.g. FS-RI, LMR, CREW
  • Strong team spirit and ability to act and prevail in a multi-complex environment
  • Willingness to travel and business-fluent English (and ideally German)
