The Head of Global Azure Cloud Services is a senior position responsible for building and operating a global Azure cloud platform including the design and implementation of cloud platform security and cloud identity management for all Evotec sites. The global Azure cloud platform is the technical foundation for a modern digital, cloud-based workplace as well as numerous other cloud-based IT Services and Business Applications. This role involves strategic planning, operational management, Team Leadership and a strong commitment to delivering efficient, reliable and secure IT services.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of Azure Cloud services tailored to the individual needs of each location based on the organization's IT service offering and ensure that technology infrastructure, networks and systems are aligned with local requirements.
- Develop and implement a strategy for automated, secure and scalable operation of Azure workloads for cloud-only as well as hybrid scenarios.
- You are happy to share your knowledge in formats like brown bag sessions and act as technical evangelist within the company.
- You are familiar with standards, procedures and frameworks such as AMCs, ADRs, Arc42 or WAF.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Substantial experience in IT service management, IT leadership, or a related role.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong knowledge of Azure technologies, ALM tools, and IT infrastructure.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF or others may be preferred.
