Our Anti-Financial Crime Compliance team is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organization against financial crimes. The Anti-Financial Crime Compliance team operates within the Global Compliance department, ensuring our business adheres to all relevant laws and regulations related to Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing, Anti-Fraud, Anti-Trust, and Economic Sanctions. The successful candidate will join an international team of Compliance professionals and serve as a Senior Compliance Expert, providing guidance on AML/CFT regulations pertaining to our global business and in particular our European operations. The role will report directly to the Global Head of Anti-Financial Crime Compliance and will have significant exposure towards our senior executives and regulators.
The role will be based in Frankfurt.
What you will do
• Act as Senior Compliance Expert and Trusted Advisor by representing the Global Anti-Financial Crime Compliance function independently towards our business functions, including senior executives and provide advice on AML/CFT regulations pertaining to our business.
• Taking on responsibilities as an appointed AML Officer or Deputy AML Officer for some of our operating entities (including registration by the competent authorities).
• Act as thought-leader within the Global Anti-Financial Crime Compliance team and drive the development and implementation of our best practices.
• Work collaboratively with team members from Frankfurt and from other offices and other regions to implement global minimum standards for AML/CFT (e.g. Global AML Policy or Global CDD Procedures) and help with the administration of the firm´s Global CDD-tool.
• Collaborate with locally appointed AML Officers during audits conducted by competent authorities, external or internal audits.
• Provide advice and guidance for our Private Market teams (e.g. Private Equity, Trade Financing, etc.) on AML/CFT-related matters
• Conduct AML/CFT risk analysis, drafting, and updating of AML/CFT-related policies and processes and provide training to staff
• Participate in projects and other initiatives with colleagues in other locations around the globe
• Be part of a global team of AML/CFT experts and work collaboratively on various BAU control activities.
What you bring
• University Degree, preferably in Law or Business Administration or related subjects
• At least 8 - 12 years relevant experience in AFC within the asset management industry
• Additional professional qualifications, such as CAMS would be a plus
• Experience in AML/CFT Compliance in Germany is required, experience in other countries is a clear plus
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English is a must; any additional language (especially German) will be an advantage
• Team player, willing to work within a team but independently when required
• Able to build positive relationships with stakeholders
• Openness to work with new technologies and IT-systems
• Committed to contributing to a strong Compliance culture within the firm and adhere to the firm’s values
• Able and willing to take on the role of a Registered AML officer or Deputy AML officer
